TITLE: Sr. Process Engineer

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES: Provide the planning and recommend resources to improve the glass manufacturing process through statistical based analysis. Drive process improvement across manufacturing facilities.
Support standardization across manufacturing plants using technical background and ability to train.
Standardize APS Data Collection and train subject matter experts.
Interpret statistical process control data, collection and analysis. Use data to identify opportunities for downtime.
Drive support and implementation for new technology; XPAR/Cortex, Gob Radar, Swab Robot, Blank Temps, Gob Weight Controller
Work in conjunction with plant manufacturing to maintain production, quality, and safety standards.
Audit and review of current manufacturing practices to maintain continuous improvement in the glass manufacturing process. WMS systems and process standardization, Inspection system capabilities and limitations.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by characterizing and optimizing existing processes, reducing waste.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Systems, or Ceramic), or related.

Three (3) years of required experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance must include: Experience with DMAIC processes and Lean Tools; Experience in glass manufacturing process and supporting systems; Experience interpreting statistical process control data, collection and analysis; Driving support and implementation for new technologies; and Experience with a data collection tool to standardize the data collection process for manufacturing, and training users.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Systems, or Ceramic), or related, and Five (5) years of required experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance. Must have skills listed above.
